Gratitude From Our Executive Director

Dear Live4Lali Family & Friends,

With the difficult year that we all have had, gratitude and thanks may not be at the top of many peoples list. Covid-19 has brought about a drastic shift in the world as we knew it. However, all I can feel is a deep gratitude for all of you. During a global pandemic, we had one of the most successful fundraisers in Live4Lali history. That would not have been possible without the generous support we received from caring people like you.

While Covid-19 cases soar, so do reoccurrences of substance use disorder and overdose deaths. We know that substance use disorder (SUD) is a disease of isolation, and the imposed stay at home orders are furthering this isolation. Unfortunately, Illinois is seeing the highest overdose and suicide rates we have ever had. Yet, here at Live4Lali we remain hopeful, grateful, and even more dedicated to our work saving lives. This work can only continue with your ongoing support of our mission. Together, we can continue to be the beacon of hope for individuals and families struggling with SUD.

As we enter a holiday like one we have never known, please remain vigilant, safe and grateful for the little things — and remember, we are only a phone call away.

In gratitude,

Laura Fry
Executive Director
Live4Lali, Inc.
